Hyppolite was born in Aouakayes ( Les Ceyes), Haiti, at age 4 she and her parents immigrated to America. She lived in a town named Dorchester, then Brookline, Boston, Massachusetts where she read the every book in the kid section of the Brookline library before she turned to writing due to boredom.
