Everyday Use (10 years later)

After 10 Years later, Dee came back. she had a yellow dress, with pink roses decorated on her dress. Dee had a lot of jewelries on her: fine rings, two fancy earrings, and a diamond necklace. "Hey Dee, I missed you. Welcome back!" I said. "I missed you too" smiled Dee, and hugged Dee, I was able to smell the expensive perfume. Also, it felt different from how I felt before. "Where is Mama?" Dee asked. "She is in her room making her quilt" I said. "Let me call her, just wait here for a while". I ran inside the house, "Mama Mama! Dee is here!" I screamed with an excitement. Mama waled out slowly, coughing very hard. Mama smiled at Dee, and walked slowly to her. "Welcome back Dee, I missed you so much" Mama spoke, while coughs interrupt her sentence. "Come in! I'll go get something to drink, just have a seat" I ran to the kitchen to get water, while Mama and Dee took a seat. After I joined Mama and Dee with the drinks, Mama and I started to ask tons of questions to Dee. "You look different Dee! What happened in last ten years?" asked Mama. Dee started to talk what had happened in last ten years. "I had a great time when i was gone. I was able to earn a lot of money". I asked her if she is going to stay here forever, but she said she bought a better house for Mama and Me. I was very happy that Mama could live in the city, and get better healthcare. "Mama! let's go live in the city, where good hospitals are around" I said with a excitement. However, Mama said she is going to stay here, where all of our memories are left behind. We both got surprised and tried to convince her to live in city together, but it didn't work. Later, Dee said it was time to go and she left with a black van. The smell of Dee's perfume left behind. It was very sad that she went back. However, Mama went into her room and continued to quilt. I came outside and saw the moon and stars up in the sky and thought about Dee.
